First Aid and CPR Certification

The Heartsaver First Aid Course teaches people how to manage illness and injuries in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. This course includes First Aid and CPR with AED instruction. This course is specifically designed for those who have a duty to respond to a first aid or cardiac emergency because of job responsibilities or regulatory requirements.

First Aid & CPR—$70 (aprox 5 hours)
First Aid Only—$30 (aprox 2 hours)
CPR Only—$40 (aprox 3 hours)

Medication Administration/Management

This hands-on course is for unlicensed staff who work with individuals needing assistance with their medication. This may include people who have developmental disabilities, mobility impairments, mental illness, acquired brain injury, chemical dependency, and elderly populations in residential facilities.

Coaching the Experienced Driver® 3

Coaching the Experienced Driver® 3 is designed for drivers like you! Course objectives are to help you improve your ability to observe and respond safely to potential collision-producing situations. By watching video presentations and participating in the exercises in the Response Book, you will reduce your chances of becoming involved in a collision.

The Mandt® System

The Mandt System® courses are based upon the philosophy that all people have a right to be treated with dignity and respect. We recognize and consider people’s behavior, even negative behavior, as a form of communication. Our approach to relationships with people requires that we proactively meet the needs of others striving to improve relationships by learning to avoid repeating mistakes.

Medication Equipment Basics

This course will cover the usage of six of the most common types of medical equipment in residential facilities; Blood Glucose monitor, Automatic Blood Pressure cuff, Auto-injector for anaphylaxis, CPAP machine for sleep apnea, nebulizer, and mechanical lift for lifting and transferring individuals. This course meets the state guidelines for Medical Equipment Training for Corporate Adult Foster Care Staff.

VA/Maltreatment/Residents Rights

Wouldn’t it be nice if someone could put together a class that encompasses all of the basic training needed for Direct Support Professionals?  Well, we did it!  Come for a day and review VA Reporting and Documentation, Consumer Rights, Confidentiality, and more.  Another wonderful benefit of a class like this is that it also provides additional hours toward the annual training requirement of many different types of licensed homes.
